Berlin's mascot bears at the Märkisches Museum

Berlin has some bears as its live mascot. They are European Brown Bears and they live near the Märkisches Museum. To find them, exit from the east end of the U-bahn station of that name and keep going east for a couple of hundred metres. Turn right in the park just before the museum.

Their enclosure has a house in the middle with a den for them, from which they can exit at either end to an area surrounded by a moat. Their space is inevitably limited but they have some trees and other foliage and they are well looked after by an attendant who was feeding them and cleaning their enclosure while we were there.
